Built in 1920, The Florence is one of the neighborhood’s original Finnish prewar cooperatives. Apartment J sits on the third floor of this four-story, 16-unit walk-up, offering a connection to Brooklyn history within a close-knit cooperative community.

An entrance hallway opens to a home rich in period details, including original hardwood floors, wood moldings and doors, exposed brick, and 9'4" ceilings. A built-in glass-front cabinet adds character to the living room, while original glass French doors lead to the primary bedroom, allowing natural light to flow between the spaces.

The windowed galley kitchen features solid wood cabinetry, Silestone quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a dishwasher. A breakfast bar and pass-through window open to the living room. The bathroom is also windowed.

The well-maintained, self-managed building offers a shared rear patio, laundry room, bike room, basement woodworking room, private storage, and additional common trunk-room storage - all included in the low monthly maintenance of $585.

The Florence is pet-friendly and 100% owner-occupied, with no subletting permitted. An ongoing capital-improvement assessment of $500 is collected twice a year.
