Lightly lived in since its renovation, the apartment offers 1,330 square feet, high ceilings and a remarkable sense of quiet. The owners have chosen to preserve the expansive layout, with room to entertain, spread out and let the light pour in. The materials give the space depth without making it feel heavy. While other D-line apartments in the building are configured as two bedrooms, the owners have preferred the openness and are happy to create a second bedroom for a tenant who needs one.

Oversized windows on two exposures fill the living and dining room with natural light and frame Midtown skyline views from the ninth floor. Doors open fully onto a south-facing Juliet balcony, bringing fresh air into the living space and offering views of both Morningside Park and Central Park. Hardwood floors run unbroken throughout, bringing warmth to the apartment.

The kitchen is where the apartment makes its statement. Custom dark-framed cabinetry with wire-mesh fronts sits over a burnished metallic tile backsplash, and the countertops are stone.
