The original curved mahogany stair case remains as well as other details like the original interior pair of enormous entry way doors, 7 marble mantel fireplaces, sliding pocket doors with etched glass, baseboards and stairway wainscoting. Filled with southern light, The kitchen is on the south end of the parlor floor with a prep island, high end appliances ie Subzero fridge, and tons of storage. And there is plenty of room for a large dining table. Bring your sunglasses because The piece de resistance is the three sets of gorgeous south facing ten foot high French doors with transoms looking out to the deck and garden. Designed with convenience in mind,There’s a powder room built under the stairs and it is where the stairway to the garden level is hidden.( This can be reopened and the two floors reconnected).
