Itt ragadta magával a fahajók „nagy hajótemetőjének” látványa, amely élete végéig elkísérte. 1941-ben nekilátott egy mentett hajóalkatrészekből készült úszó „lakóhajó-műterem” megépítésének. Ez büszkén megtekinthető néhány utcával arrébb, a Snug Harbor Múzeumban, ahol a John Noble-kiállítás is helyet kapott.

A 270 Richmond Terrace a St. George történelmi negyedben található, és 1910-ben épült. Ez a 3000 négyzetláb alapterületű, műemléki védelem alatt álló ház valóban páratlan. Welcome home to one of the most unique Landmarked homes in all of the 5 boroughs. Nestled along the north shore of Staten Island, minutes from the ferry, lies the home of famed Parisian artist, John Noble. Coming in America in 1919, Noble was a permanent fixture on the McCarren line tugs which towed the schooners in and out of the New York Harbor.
